Service Projects - Building Better Communities

As Apexians, we strive to render altruistic service to the community-in-need in Singapore. Through our service projects, we bring members and volunteers together so that we can serve our beneficiaries better.

"THE BEST IDEAS ARE IDEAS THAT HELP PEOPLE"

Mid Autumn: Moon Represents My Heart Project

A lovely afternoon spent with the elderly! Apex Radin Mas held a mini celebration at the void deck of Blk 170 Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

Thank you to all volunteers who spent the afternoon with our recipients. Our appreciation to sponsors for the mooncakes and food items given to the elderly. You have all made a difference and brought smiles to the less privileged :)

Art Activity at Apex Day Rehabilitation Centre

A fabulous friday spent with patients and staffs of ADRC, Apex members and volunteers with guidance from Brain Gym trainer Benwinner who graciously offered his complimentary services for the elderly.

Thank you Ben! And thank you everyone who attended :)

Apex RM @ FMM Fundraiser (2012)

Our Club's self made game of pinball sure attracted a lot of enthusiastic players. Raising funds is hard work but it sure can be lots of FUN too!

Christmas Eve Food Distribution and Caroling (2011)

We wish to express our sincere thanks to volunteers of The Last Generation from Bethany Church Singapore (BCS), members of SUVEC, family and friends who came during the holiday and share the festive joy with our less fortunate recipients.

Christmas Gifting - Secret Santa (2010)

A project spanning over 3 months which gave our recipients a Christmas of their choice, thanks to a kind sponsor who chose to remain anonymous. This project brought together Apexians and volunteers as a lot of logistic planning and items browsing were required to fulfill the wishes of our folks.

Alas, their Christmas wish came true...

Adopt a Week @ Toa Payoh Food Distribution

Whether as an Individual or Corporate Group, these people have chosen to contribute to those in need.  Its is always heartwarming to see people from different walks of life coming together to volunteer.

1) Adopt-a-week, Lunch Buffet & Outing by Goldman Sachs

A big thank you to staff of Goldman Sachs for spending a day with our elderly.

From buffet lunch, food distribution and outing to RWS, GS staff were hands-on and tirelessly bringing our recipients around.

You have brought smiles to the faces our elderly. Appreciate it :)

2) Chinese New Year Adopt a week by Peck Bros Construction

Our folks at Toa Payoh were beaming with joy as they each receive their ang pow, oranges and food items for Chinese New Year.

Thanks Peck Bros! You have definitely brought cheer to our folks.

3) Adopt a Week by SOC Pharmacy

Another kind donation of food items for our elderly by staff of SGH SOC Pharmacy. Thanks to those who came and participated in the activity.

4) Amcham Day by MENU Pte Ltd

Over 15 staff, family and friends of MENU came to pack foodstuff , distribute food items and do home audits for the day. It was a lot of hard work and lots more fun.

Thanks to MENU Pte Ltd for its generous sponsorship!

Flea Market at China Square Central (2010)

Our Club ran a stall at the China Square Central flea market on 19 September 2010 to raise funds for our Toa Payoh Food Distribution project... and it was a success!

We sold most of our stuff by 5pm. :) However, the most important thing was not the amount of money raised but the opportunity for our club members and volunteers to bond. :) All of us truly enjoyed the experience of running the stall.

Medical Screening for Food Recipients

On 3 April 2010, our Club held a simple medical screening session for our food recipients.

At the session, we helped to test the blood pressure and glucose levels of the old folks. Test kits for colecteral cancer were also distributed.

We would like to thank all our volunteers especially those from SGH for their great help!
